The R&B group, Next, is back and they are planning to release new music in the future. The trio reunited recently,  after a potentially violent breakup, back in the late 2000’s – what prompted this reunion you ask? – the three vocalists, known for songs like, “Too Close”, “Butta Love” and (my personal favorite) “Wifey” was featured on TV One’s, music documentary series, Unsung last night.

Honestly, after watching the show, we figured the group would never get back together again – considering disputes over stolen money and threats of violence, towards the lead singer, R.L by other members, Tweet and T-Low (the two biological brothers in the trio). After disbanding for some time, Tweet and T-Low continued to perform as “Next” as a duo – but let’s face it, without R.L. there is no Next. The lead singer – R.L. went on to write songs for other artist and continued working on solo albums.

Since being interviewed for Unsung the group managed to come back together and make amends, performing for the first time in years at the Unsung screening, you can watch the video here or below courtesy of TMZ.
