Solange Slays for the first time on ‘SNL’, Tina Knowles-Lawson, Beyonce and Jay-z support the ‘Cranes in the sky’ singer on an inspired live performance.
For the first time ever, Solange Knowles made an appearance on Saturday Night Live as the musical guest. Performing songs from her number one album A Seat At The Table. Solange brought the beauty of “Cranes in the sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” to the SNL stage. She and her band wore all white – in front of a lunar eclipse. Bringing a soulful and an artistic vibe reminiscent of Frank Ocean meets D’Angelo. Solange delivered beautiful vocals that floated in the ambiance – she should be proud of her first SNL performance.
On Solange’s big night, Tina Knowles (now Tina Lawson), Beyonce, and her sparring partner Jay-Z showed up for support. At one point, Tina and Beyonce held her for an Instagram video – as Solange jokingly said: “I’m 30 years old!”. Jay-z didn’t hop into any photos with Solange but instead took to social media with SNL cast member Leslie Jones. It’s great to see the Knowles family support each other over the years, especially after Jay-Z and Solange’s infamous elevator incident.
In the near future, we expect a tour for A Seat At The Table since this is one of the hottest albums out right now. Solange, continue doing what you’re doing – we’re with you.
