A$AP Ferg and Nicki Minaj "Move Ya Hips" music video still image of four ladies stretching in 80's workout clothes.

Spending most of our Summer inside is no reason to get lazy and not to keep it, sexy ladies. A$AP Ferg, Nicki Minaj, and MadeinTYO got you with their throwback workout plan. In their “Move Ya Hips” music video, to get those hips swaying the right way.

A$AP Ferg throws it back to those old school VHS workout tapes and infomercials that would air after midnight. He gives you a number to text to get this plan at 917-994-7001. If you send a text to the phone number, you’ll get a message back from A$AP Ferg himself.

‘Move Ya Hips’ dropped earlier today (July 30) with visuals that don’t include any of the artists. It all makes sense because of the pandemic, plus Nicki Minaj and her husband are having their first child. Nothing is lost by A$AP Ferg, Minaj, and MadeinTyO’s absence; there is plenty to see in the video.

A customer walks in a small white room, right before an aerobics class holding a note ‘Get Hips.’ All five ladies were decked out in hot pink, neon green, and bright orange clothing. We are talking leg warmers, headbands, and tight leotards. The ladies look good as they work it out in the faux infomercial as the customer finally gets her hips moving right towards the end.

A$AP Ferg and Nicki Minaj trade rhymes

A$AP Ferg and Nicki Minaj trade lines back and forth, even giving the nod to their last collab “Plain Jane.”

“Straight from out of Queens headed to Harlem now (I got the panda mink on and it’s growlin’ now), Already bodied ‘Plain Jane’ and we mobbin’ now

(That’s ‘cause all these fake n–gas try to rob my style) Yo, these b–ches really be slow, tell ’em I’m Billy the G.O.A.T (I’m getting that dough, my neck and my wrist really glow).”

MadeinTYO only lends his voice to the hook. He raps, “move your hips, okay — When I be leavin’, she tell me to stay.”

“Move Ya Hips” might be the first single to Ferg’s follow-up album to 2019’s Floor Seats. DJ Clue introduced us to the song back in May on his Instagram live, and it’s finally here. You can enjoy the video below.
