The Queens rapper, Nicki Minaj is pregnant, she showed off her baby bump on Instagram. With the caption “#Preggers 💛” and “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛” lit the Barbz up with excitement.
Nicki Minaj-Petty happily announced the coming of her first child with husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty. The 37-year-old posted a few paternity pics, and the responses have been positive. “I’m Sooooooooooooo happy for you!!” wrote KeKe Palmer. Ne-Yo supportively commented with a “Congrats mommy to be!!” as well.
Posing on a pink couch with bright golden-yellow hair, Nicki radiates into the camera. In one look, the “Barbie Dreams” rapper wore an elaborate bikini top with glittery heels as she caressed her bun baring stomach. In another look, Nicki sports white knee-high stockings with fringed, tasseled bikini bottoms. The bikini top fuller and more intricate than the last. She has puffy shoulder pads with golden fringe as she poses with a green bow placed inside her blue hair.
And finally, the Virgin Mary inspired photo by David LaChappelle. Minaj is posing in an enchanted forest wearing all white, cradling her pregnant belly. Standing in front of a colorful circle swirl, Nicki wore a white soft drop veil from head to toe.

The pregnancy announcement comes only nine months after she officially tied the knot with Kenneth “Zoo” Petty. Nicki says they met back in Queens when she was 17-years-old and is one of her ‘first loves.’ The couple didn’t have a big wedding due to Nicki’s busy schedule during 2018’s Queen album. Both only opted for a marriage license at the time with plans for a big wedding celebration later.
Nicki’s relationship didn’t escape scrutiny as some questioned her connection with Petty. Kenneth had a past criminal conviction of attempted rape in 1995 — he was 15-years-old at the time. He also pleaded guilty of the first-degree manslaughter of Lamont Robinson killing in 2002. Petty only served seven years of his ten-year sentence.
Mom to be Nicki Minaj hasn’t revealed any plans of releasing a follow-up to Queen. She’s been busy with some features in the meantime. Minaj got her first number one on Billboards Hot 100 for the Doja Cat remix of “Say So.” And we can’t forget about her third collab with 6ix9ine on the track “Trollz.”
