Plies arrested for carrying Glock 43 in Airport, facing a felony concealed weapons charge.

Another rapper joins the ranks of artists who forgot a gun was in their bag at the airport. Plies, 43-years-old, got arrested Wednesday morning at Tampa International Airport after TSA security discovered an unloaded Glock 43 inside his carry on bag. Authorities also found a fully loaded magazine right next to the pistol.

Airport police arrested Plies, who bonded out of Hillsborough County Jail for $2,000. He’s facing a felony concealed weapons charge. Plies didn’t have a permit for the weapon — at least on him at the terminal — and has admitted the Glock is his. Keep in mind, Plies is a registered gun owner, which should get him out of this mess sooner than later.

Sources near the rapper say he simply took the wrong bag on his way to the airport.

Plies is not alone, T-Pain and Juelz Santana, unwittingly carried a gun in their carry on bag earlier this year. Too $hort and comedian Katt Williams — who famously told the story in his comedy special American Hustle – faced the same issues a few years ago.

Best known for his 2008 single “Bust it Baby Pt. 2” featuring Ne-Yo — the rapper is now growing popular on his Instagram page. He developed his audience to over 4 million followers by talking about his life and opinions on various topics.
