Diddy officially changes his name to “Love.” Combs has turned his government name from Sean John Combs to Sean Love Combs. The hip-hop mogul goes by many nicknames like “P. Diddy,” “Diddy,” “Puff,” and “Puff Daddy.” He even played around with being called “Brother Love” at one point — only to turn around and play it off as a joke.
Now it’s real. It’s not a joke. A judge just made “Love” his middle name; they signed Combs’ request from last year in Los Angeles County. Nobody knows why Diddy changed his government name, but at least he has no problem with people calling him by any — or all of his throwback monikers.
The newly dubbed Sean Love Combs expressed his love for his late baby mother, Kim Porter, on Instagram. “If you got a good woman, please let her know. Tell her as soon as you can. Make sure she knows. Make sure she feels it.” Diddy celebrated his 50th birthday party on Kim Porter’s birthday — an event that brought out a lot of celebrities. Porter was the mother of his son Christian and twin daughters, Jessie James and D’Lila Star. They both dated for 13- years. Diddy’s message is just a reminder to give those you love their flowers while they can still smell them.
