Medical examiners in Cook County confirmed what most of us already knew. Juice WRLD died of a drug overdose. Officials concluded the death was an accident. A statement from the examiner revealed Juice WRLD had a high level of Codeine and oxycodone in his system.

The night Juice WRLD died, his private plane was met by police when they landed in Chicago. According to reports, they had a tip; drugs might be on the aircraft. Their search came up with several pounds of weed and six bottles of prescription medicines.

While the rappers’ entourage was questioned and searched in the Midway Airport, police called for emergency medical assistance. Juice WRLD then had seizure and began bleeding from the mouth. Jarad Higgins, aka Juice WRLD, was later pronounced dead at 3:15 AM on Dec 8th.

Juice WRLD’s family posted on the Chicago rappers social media expressing how Juice felt about his fans. “You guys meant the entire world to Juice, and by listening to his music, watching his videos, and sharing your stories about him, you are keeping his memory alive forever.”

Juice’s family also has plans to drop unreleased music as well as organize a tribute in the Chicago area.

Juice WRLD’s career was starting to take over all of pop culture’s consciousness. To die at the young age of 21-years-old has had many of his peers question their drug use and disfunction. Juice WRLD himself would even acknowledge his drug addiction, which he says started in the 6th grade.

Reaching no. 1 on Billboards 200 album charts with his album “Death Race For Love.” The intuition for his next project is high — even in death. His engineer Max Lord said they’ve been working on creating something distinctive on his third studio album. A steep contrast to Juice WRLD’s first two albums.

He’s best known for his infectious song ‘Lucid Dreams,’ and his ‘All Girls Are The Same’ — a song that got Juice his deal with Interscope Records.
