Lil’ Wayne releases first version of ‘Dedication 6′ on Christmas day, 2nd half of D6 coming soon.

It’s the reason for the season to get lit! Weezy just unleashed a new chapter in the Dedication series, Dedication 6, just in time for your New Years house party.

Tunechi’s got 15 tracks of heat, borrowing beats from the hottest songs of 2017. “XO Tour Lif3” from Lil’ Uzi Vert, “Everyday We Lit” by YFN Lucci, 21 Savage‘s “Bank Account” and Kendrick Lamar‘s “DNA” all shine on this mixtape.

DJ Drama hosts D6, letting us know right away he and Weezy are “the mixtape blueprint!”. Things pop of on ‘Fly Away’ on Kendricks “DNA” as Weezy raps “I got Draco’s, Nino’s, Automatics, that my DNA, You get beat like Sugar Ray, TKO, OAJ’s”.

The Young Money boss keeps it all in the family; joined by Gudda Gudda, Hood Baby, Corey Gunz, E. Baby and Euro. Even Nicki Minaj brings her undeniable presence on “5 Star” over Post Malone‘s “rockstar” beat. Also, Wayne raps over Jay-Z‘s “The Story of OJ” beat on “Blackin Out” with Euro. Although, not as thought-provoking, Lil’ Wayne lyrically keeps it interesting.

This is not the only version of D6. In an interview with Deion Sanders on NFL Gameday Live, Weezy explains there are two versions of the mixtape. He plans to release the extended version of Dedicated 6 right after the holiday season on all major streaming services. The long-awaited Carter V, which is being held up by Weezy’s beef with Cash Money Records. The Young Money head honcho vowed not to drop an official album until the $51 million dollars legal battle is settled. Like most Weezy fans we can’t wait for an official Lil’ Wayne project.
