Machine Gun Kelly Summerfest 2018

Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly is grieving over the loss of his father yesterday (July 5th). Actor, rapper, and skilled lyricist, born Richard Colson Baker posted on Instagram and Twitter intentions to plan the first anniversary of his album Hotel Diablo. His father’s passing has taken a toll on the artist, stating, “My father took his last breath this morning, and I’ve never felt a pain this deep in my life.”

According to reports, MGK’s father became sick from an unknown disease not connected with the Covid-19 pandemic. A Denver hospital admitted his father. There’s also a social media post by Machine Gun Kelly, revealing his father was dealing with a health issue.

Thankfully, Father and son had a chance to reunite recently to air out any unresolved issues. When Machine Gun Kelly graduated from high school, his father kicked him out of the house. According to MGK, his father began to appreciate his music and was proud of his success.

Not surprisingly, Machine Gun Kelly has momentarily stepped away from social media to get his head right. “I’m setting my phone down. love you.” he writes at the end of an emotional, social media post.

Machine Gun Kelly is in the middle of an album and filming a new movie with girlfriend Megan Fox.

The 30-year-old rapper turned actor is not only putting the finishing touches on his next album. He’s working alongside Bruce WillisEmile Hirsch, and real-life love interest Megan Fox on the film Midnight in the Switchgrass.

MGK’s rise as an actor is astonishing, most notably playing Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee, in The Dirt. He also appeared in the Cleveland based drama produced by Nas called The Land. Machine Gun Kelly had a recurring role in Roadie and his most recently released film Big Time Adolescence.

His next album release on Bad Boy is Tickets to My Downfall. On this album, MGK is going pop-punk. Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is producing the project. Whatever Barker and MGK come up with will hopefully be exciting and push boundaries. The record should be out later this summer.
